By imparting self-sealing abilities to concrete, permeability is reduced and thereby durability is increased.
Durable concrete ultimately reduces the need for costly and time consuming maintenance. Low permeability aides in the durability of the concrete as it reduces contact with water, salt and other harmful chemicals that can lead to the deterioration of the concrete and corrosion of reinforcing steel.
