At 8 am on March 10, 2013, False Creek Rowing Club hosted their 3rd annual Head Up The Creek rowing regatta in False Creek. With the beautiful city of Vancouver behind them, rowers of all ages rowed the scenic course from Vanier Park to Science World and back again. The event was also hosted by Ocean Cement and sponsored by Kryton International Inc.

Granville Island has been home to concrete supplier Ocean Cement for about 100 years. With roots planted deeply in the Granville Island creative community, Ocean paints their trucks in artistic, “Granville Island” style, and hosts and participates in many events and activities along Vancouver’s beautiful False Creek.

Every April, Ocean hosts an open house at their Granville Island plant, with fun activities for the whole family. This year’s open house will be April 27th and is a great opportunity to get close to a lot of big shiny trucks for kids of ALL ages.
