World of Concrete, held annually in Las Vegas, is the must-attend event if you work with concrete. The conference is ideal for exploring new solutions to make your work more rewarding, sharing experiences through networking, and acquiring new skills. But, Las Vegas is an expensive place to be, and it’s a financial commitment to attend the show. Statistically, companies spend roughly $2000 USD on sending one employee to the WOC in addition to $100,000 USD on participating as exhibitors. Yikes. Thus, if there is a chance to save, we encourage you to take it and reinvest those spare dollars into fun stuff Vegas has to offer.
Here’re some handy tips to save at the World of Concrete.
WOC Exhibits-Only Admission for just $25
Valid for online purchases only before January 17, 2020!
Each WOC exhibitor and sponsor has an opportunity to invite their customers to the show at a discounted rate. As an exhibitor, we invite you to take advantage of our VIP discount. If you haven’t had a chance to register as an attendee yet, use this link (or Source Code A36) to get your WOC admission ticket for just $25 (compared to $95+ without a link). This discount is valid for online purchases only before January 17, 2020.
While registering, you will have an option to book workshops within the WOC Education Program. But before you book any workshops, we are offering you another opportunity to save! As a WOC Educational Partner, Kryton is hosting two non-proprietary educational sessions this year, one of them is an exclusive one-time session held by a guest expert from Denmark, which is an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand from the European experience. If you wish to attend the sessions, do not add them to your cart at the time of the admission purchase. Do the following instead…
35% Off Industry Training Sessions
We offer a 35% discount on our industry training sessions that can save you up to $45 dollars on each session. To benefit from the discount, register separately through our website.
Flight and Hotel Tickets
Well, we as Kryton can’t help you with a travel discount, but we wanted to share the following tips.
Due to the number of visitors to Las Vegas, there really is no low season where you can take advantage of cheaper flights and hotels. Moreover, hotels artificially increase their prices at the time of big events in the area, like WOC.
Good news: WOC locks prices for its attendees and exhibitors.
WOC partners with a variety of airlines to offer promotional codes for flights. You can identify the cheapest flight options from these airlines through travel fare aggregators such as Expedia, Priceline or Skyscanner, then go to the airline’s website, punch in the “cheapest” dates, and apply WOC promotional codes at checkout.
Check out the World of Concrete Housing network for hotel discounts. You might find their prices quite reasonable. Also, there is a benefit of using a free WOC shuttle running between these hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Getting Around
First of all, check out WOC 2020 Travel Discounts. You can save on car rental, Monorail tickets, and a WOC shuttle bus service. A rental car may be the way to go, especially since hotel-casinos offer free parking. Monorail is a tram line that connects the Las Vegas Convention Center with hotels along the Strip.
Lyft and Uber are authorized ridesharing providers, it is the cheaper and more comfortable alternative to taxis. Arrange for a ride using the app on your smartphone. If you are using these services for the first time, both Lyft and Uber offer a free first ride up to $20 dollars. If you’ve been using these apps for a while, a hotel you’re staying at might have a special discount code for a free ride from the airport – just Google it.
Also, check with your hotel to see if it offers its own shuttle service from the airport, which is often free. But be prepared to wait. The buses generally don’t leave until they are full, and the wait can be up to an hour.
We hope to see you at the World of Concrete 2020 and at Kryton’s booth S12145 in the South Hall (see floor map). Have a great hassle-free trip!
